By becoming a Blue Energy customer, you will benefit from lower electricity costs, reduced carbon emissions and greater energy security all at zero cost.

In addition to these direct benefits, there are a number of broader pressing commercial reasons why renewable energy must be a serious consideration for the UK. The 2008 Climate Change Act has set legally binding targets to cut greenhouse gas emissions by at least 80% by 2050 and C0² emissions by at least 26% by 2020. The UK is also committed to producing 15% of its energy from renewable sources by 2020 as part of the European renewable energy directive.

Because of this, the Government is heavily incentivising those businesses who embrace renewable energy and fining those who choose not to actively cut their carbon emissions. As a Blue Energy partner, you will be taking an active part in meeting the Carbon Reduction Commitment targets set out in the Climate Change Act and benefit from the Renewable Obligation Credits and the Feed-in Tariff.
